Information
Sandalwood essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the sandalwood. The oil has pale yellow or yellow colour and typical woody scent. It is a clear liquid without precipitates. It does not contain added solvents, preservatives, dyes or antioxidants.
The main ingredients of the sandalwood oil are sesquiterpenic alcohols: α-santalol and β-santalol.
Usage
It is primarily used for cosmetic purposes, e.g. creams, lotions, face masks, soaps. The applied concentration in cosmetic products should not go beyond 3-6%. The suitability of usage should be tested by the producer of the final product.
