Product name
Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate , Ferrous sulfate , Green vitriol , Iron vitriol , Copperas , Melanterite , Szomolnokite
Information
Ferrous sulfate, FeSO 4, is the sulfate salt with sulfuric acid, sulfate. Anhydrous ferrous sulfate is a white powder. Its water solubility is good enough to dissolve 27.3 g (54 g) in water (100 g) at 21 ° C. The aqueous solution has acidic iron. The solution is hydrolyzed, causing poor acidity. The monohydrate (containing 1 molecule of crystalline water), the tetrahydrate (4 molecules of crystalline water) or the heptahydrate (7 molecules of crystalline water) from the solution of the compound may crystallize as a function of temperature. Of these, the most common is heptahydrate (FeSO4 · 7H2O). It consists of pale green crystals with a slightly blue tint. It does not dissolve in alcohol.
Usage
Ferrous sulphate - with green vitriol used to remove moss.Instructions for use
Vitriol spills in cold water, mixed and filled into sprayers.
