Information
Refined sunflower oil is obtained from the seeds of a special type of sunflower. This species has a higher proportion of oleic acid than regular sunflower oil. This was done by re-breeding traditional sunflower varieties. On the outside, the new breed differs only in the color of the core shells, from whitish to silver-gray compared to the usual black or black and white striped. The seeds are pressed and the oil obtained is filtered. Subsequent physical refining is carried out in accordance with organic regulations. You get an excellent oxidatively stable light and transparent oil, which is also almost neutral in its aroma and taste. The excellent oxidative stability is comparable to that of a good olive oil and about twice as high as that of conventional sunflower oil and soybean oil.Usage
It is particularly suitable as a fat component and carrier for pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations. For the production of ointments, creams, lotions, cleansing milks, hair care products.
