Organic sulfur, more complexly methylsulfonylmethane (which also gave rise to the abbreviation MSM), is a non-metallic mineral substance that is present in practically every cell of the human body. It is therefore necessary for almost all bodily functions.
Biologically active sulfur is found in nature in all organisms and plants, but since the human body excretes it through urination, it is necessary to supplement it in concentrated form. Several internal and external factors affect the level of MSM, but after calcium and phosphorus, sulfur is the third most important mineral present in the human body. It participates in the synthesis of group B vitamins, thiamin and biotin, as well as in the proper functioning of hormones and the burning of glucose.
We take a certain dose of MSM, for example, in vegetables and fruits, but MSM white powder is an ideal supplement to a balanced diet for problems with the musculoskeletal system. As sulfur is necessary for the construction and nutrition of tissues, it benefits the health of connective tissues, cartilages, ligaments and tendons, in addition to having a positive effect on the metabolism of carbohydrates (saccharides, sugars).
