Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is a monobasic acid.
Usage
In industry it is frequently used acid. Hydrochloric acid is found in gastric juice. During digestion achieves a concentration of 0.3 to 0.4%. Heartburn causes an increase in the concentration of hydrochloric acid.
