TAED (tetraacetylethylenediamine) is a bleaching activator which is mainly used in detergents and additives for laundry washing and dishwashing. Typical concentrations of TAED range between 1.4% and 13% in these products.
Usage
Activator of sodium percarbonateIs added about 5% (50 g per kilogram), sodium percarbonate. TAED it already released peroxide at low temperature.
Activator in the wash
Is added to sodium percarbonate. 5% TAED is sufficient to release at a low temperature peroxide and sodium percarbonate. 1 kg Percarbonate consume 50 grams, allowing TAED bleach at 30 degrees.
