Information
1-propanol is a clear, colorless liquid. Incompatible with alkali metals, alkaline earths, aluminum, oxidizing agents and nitro compounds. Miscible with water, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers, glycols, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Usage
It is used as an additional solvent in the production of adhesives and a carrier in azeotropic distillation. It is contained in cleaning and degreasing products. Improves the drying properties of alkyd resins, electrolytically applied paints and firing surface treatments in the paint industry.
