Poolsalz is a high-purity, additive-free special salt exclusively for treating pool water in saltwater electrolysis systems. Its quality ensures optimal function of the electrolytic cells and efficient production of free chlorine, which provides reliable water disinfection.
Features and Benefits:
-
High Purity: Our Poolsalz is composed of pure sodium chloride (NaCl) with minimal impurities, extending the lifespan of electrolytic cells and preventing deposits.
-
Optimized Grain Size: Thanks to its special granulation, the salt dissolves quickly and evenly in water, simplifying the dosing process and minimizing the time required to achieve the desired concentration.
-
Additive-Free: Poolsalz contains no anti-caking agents or other additives that could negatively affect water quality or the functionality of pool equipment.
-
Gentle on Skin and Eyes: Water treated with salt is demonstrably softer and less irritating than water treated with traditional chlorine.
-
Ecological Solution: Saltwater systems reduce the need for handling and storing chemicals. Chlorine is generated directly in the water and recycled.
Usage and Dosing:
Before using Poolsalz, ensure that the pool water's pH is within the optimal range (7.0 - 7.4). The recommended salt concentration in pool water for most saltwater electrolysis systems is 3 - 5 grams per liter of water (3 - 5 kg per m³). The exact dosage may vary depending on your pool system manufacturer and specific conditions.
-
Calculation of Need: Calculate your pool's volume in cubic meters (m³). Multiply the pool's volume by the desired salt concentration (e.g., 4 kg/m³).
-
Dissolving: Add the salt directly to the pool, ideally in an area with good water circulation (e.g., in front of the return jets). For faster dissolving, you can add the salt to a bucket of water and dissolve it before applying it to the pool.
-
Monitoring: After adding salt, let the filtration system run for at least 24 hours to allow the salt to fully dissolve and evenly distribute throughout the entire pool volume. Afterward, check the salt concentration using test strips or a digital meter.
-
Maintenance: Regularly monitor the salt concentration and replenish it as needed, especially after heavy rains or when adding fresh water.
Storage:
Store Poolsalz in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
